Jie is an undergraduate student majoring in global health in Wuhan University, China. He is expected to get a Bachelor of Science in June, 2020. Jie has worked as a research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Qu-qiang on projects exploring associations of averse childhood experiences (ACE) and health-risk behavior among Zambia college students and associations of health-risk behavior and mental health among Chinese children.
Jie is working with Dr. Scott Ronis and the Youth and Family Research Laboratory as a student intern with the MITACS International Student Exchange program. Currently, he is assisting on a project exploring parents’ perspectives of barriers and facilitators to access to mental health services for their children with Autism. His research interests include children’s mental health and health-risk behavior.
