Gabrielle Marie Levesque
Gabrielle holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours, Psychology) from the University of New Brunswick. She recently began her first year of the ARTC Master’s program in Applied Health Services Research, working under the supervision of Dr. Ronis.
Gabrielle’s involvement in the Youth and Family Research Laboratory began during her undergraduate degree. She worked under the supervision of Dr. Ronis as part of a Basic Research Seminar course. During this time, she developed an interest for research with youth mental health and decided to pursue research in this area by completing her Honours thesis, Association between parents’ social support and youth adaptive functioning.
Upon the completion of her Bachelor’s degree, Gabrielle took a year to do a bit of soul searching and is now excited to be back as a member of the Youth and Family lab. Her specific research interests areas are youth mental health services and health services provided in both official languages. She believes the experience she will gain in the next few years from both course work and research will enable her to pursue her career goals in the areas of health services policy and research.
