I am a PhD student in the Experimental and Applied Psychology program at UNB. I am currently working as a research associate in Dr. Ronis’ Youth and Family Research Lab. As a follow-up to a large scale survey study, I am interviewing individuals about their early sexual experiences. These interviews will serve as a qualitative component in a study aimed at making sense of sexual experiences that occur before the age of 16. After completing and transcribing these interviews, I hope to extend my work in the Youth and Family Research Lab by analyzing the content of these interviews. Combining both quantitative and qualitative research methods will allow for a rich understanding of individuals’ early sexual experiences.
