Beverly Gaudet (2013 - Present)

Bev holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree (UNB) and a Master of Nursing degree (Athabasca University). Her background is in pediatric nursing with clinical experience at the IWK Health Center in Halifax and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.  Bev has been an Instructor with the Faculty of Nursing at UNB since 2003.

Bev supervises undergraduate nursing students in the care of children and families in both acute care and community nursing.  She teaches Families with Multiple Challenges, a fourth-year required theory course.  Bev is a Board Member with DOTS NB whose mission is to improve treatment services for children and youth experiencing mental illness in New Brunswick.  This experience has prompted her to pursue further graduate studies.     

Bev’s main area of research interest is youth and adolescent mental health.  In 2013, she started working on her PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies at UNB (Nursing and Psychology) under the supervision of Dr. Ronis.  For more information, see  http://www.unb.ca/fredericton/nursing/people/profiles/bdunfiel.html
